3 ways to Establish Divine Dialogue: Exploring God’s Invitation to Reason

“Picture this: an invitation from God to engage in dialogue, to reason alongside the Creator. In the book of Isaiah, we are called forth with the words, ‘Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord.’
But let’s pause and ponder this: can we truly walk in step with the Almighty without aligning our hearts and intentions with His divine purpose? Reflect on the question posed by Amos in chapter 3 and verse 3, ‘Can two walk together, except they be agreed?’ It provokes deep introspection, doesn’t it?
When we approach God with our petitions, what reasons do we present? What agreements do we uphold?

In the Bible, God has not remained silent. His voice echoes through the passages, revealing His mysteries, His divine plan for us. He beckons us to listen, to abide by His word, and to walk hand in hand with Him.
But to embark on this sacred journey, we must first tread the path of righteousness. As it is written, ‘Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil.’ (Isaiah 1:16)

Lets reason Together
  1. Pursue His wisdom, as the Provers 1 and verse 7 urges, ‘The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge’.

  2. Follow His laws, for ‘The commandments of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart.’ (Psalms 19:8).

  3. And strive for His righteousness, ‘for the Lord is righteous, he loves righteousness’ Psalms 11:7.

Only through this dedicated pursuit can we hope to engage in true communion with the Almighty. For sacrifices offered to Him are in vain if we persist in sin, as the scripture admonishes, ‘He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination’ Proverbs 28:9.
So let us heed this divine call, to reason with God, to walk in agreement with His purpose, and to find solace in the words of the scripture, ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.’ (Proverbs 3:5)”
