Bible Verses to pray over our country

Introduction

In 1 Timothy 2:1 -2 we are told,

 “exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.”

So let us join hands in agreement to seek the hand of God for this nation. Meditate on the bible verses below and stand on the promises given in His word. He has said that His will over our country is peace and prosperity, and we claim this promise in every inch of this country.

Bible Verses

Psalms 122:7  Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.

Numbers 6:24-27 KJV (24)  The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.

Jeremiah 29:7  And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.

Job 12:23  He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them: he enlargeth the nations, and straiteneth them again.

1Pe 2:9  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Isaiah 43:5  Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;

Also let’s pray specifically for our leaders. That they may receive the wisdom of God, that their hearts will be convicted towards doing what is right in the eyes of the Lord. That they will not conform to the evil ways of the world, but be renewed

Psa 2:10  Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

Col 1:9-11 KJV For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;  That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

Rom 12:2  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
