Am I an Authentic Son of God

I have received a great revelation concerning myself as a born-again Christian. This revelation is related to my role in the world today and the work needed to be done for the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. It is mostly associated with the problem of fear and lack of boldness when it comes to the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

This issue has made me ask myself the question:

  • Am I an authentic son of God?
  • Why do I have a problem with boldness?
  • Does satan have any hold over me?
  • Am I indebted to him in any way?
  • Do I have anything that belongs to him?
  • Why am I holding back?
An Authentic Son of God

These questions have had a profound impact on my relationship with Christ.
The verse in John 14:30 highlights an important characteristic of Jesus Christ that is now helping me deal with these questions,
“I will not say much more to you, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold over me”.
Jesus Christ could walk boldly and face satan because he had no hold over Him.

I pray to God that I may shed everything that is not of God. That I may live a life dedicated to Jesus Christ only. I need to be an authentic son of God to walk boldly against the forces of evil in this world and become Christ’s soldier reigning with Him in the midst of His enemies.

Romans 8: 18-22
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of [f]corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.
